After the Arab Spring

What's Next?

Events in the Middles East this past spring have reverberated    throughout the world.  While the most stunning changes have occurred within the countries in turmoil, the shock waves and political repercussions have reached far beyond their immediate borders.  The dynamics of the entire area have been significantly affected and we are left with more questions than answers and more problems than solutions.

Our series will look at the conflict from the perspectices of peripheral organizations and countries that have been impacted by the crisis.  The speakers will attempt  to explain what has occurred and where we are headed in the future.  They will include experts on Islamic organizations, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.  Finally, we will conclude with a lecture on how the United States has been influenced - economically, socially, and politically - by the widespread unrest.

Please join us in January to make sense of the past year and contemplate scenarios for the future of the Middle East.
