Barnard returns to "Meet the Author" Series to talk about a
Variety of Cuisines. She has authored or co-authored 13 books on various
kinds of cooking, including the James Beard award winning - Ther American
Medical Association's Family Cookbook. You are in for a treat from a great
teacher! The
"Tao of the Defiant Woman" is a guide for women to life after
40. In her book, C.J. Golden fuses her own personal experiences, with
the Taoist Philosophy, which recognizes and accepts the part of life that
cannot be changed. In her book, she suggests how to find inner peace while
boldly facing life's challenges. Tuesday
- April 22nd "Cruising
Conencticut with a Picnic Basket" is a combination cookbook and guide
with an eclectic selection of places to visit and suggestions on the fine
art of picnicking. Jan takes us from hunting spring wildflowers to wine
tasting, from hiking and biking on miles of trails to kayaking on our
waterways - from city walking tour to country drives - 40 days trips each
accompanied by a made to order picnic. What fun! Tuesday
- May 20th Participants in the Book Group's Writers' Workshop showcase their work. Members will read from their manuscripts over the year. This is a creative and enjoyable way to end our program offerings. Hostesses:
