Festivities
brings a wealth of creative talent in events and most recently
has been awarded the coveted “Best Of The
Gold Coast” award for fine catered foods and beverages,
professional service, event décor and bridal consulting.
Our beautiful home, Meadowlands, is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places. It encompasses almost eight
acres of land and includes a bird
sanctuary, nature trails, a greenhouse and a
formal garden maintained by DCA volunteers. Meadowlands is a perfect setting
for weddings,
parties and corporate functions. The
DCA can accommodate up to 200 guests
for dinners and 350 for standing receptions.
Our lovely garden and stunning interior provide
glorious backdrops for picture taking and for
relaxed enjoyment. Weddings may be performed
in our formal garden, facing the back of the house,
The beautiful Assembly Room (formerly the parlor),
the stately dining room, the library, the east room
and the screened porch are built around the
magnificent entry hall with its graceful staircase.
Caterers love the spacious "state-of-the-art 1998
" kitchen and butler's pantry. Upstairs is an attractive "bride's" room
for changing.
The
Garden Wing provides a large cheerful room
for dining or dancing. There is a low stage for
a band or DJ. The flagstone entry is
a suitable bar area.
