The Senior Men’s Association of Darien

The Senior Men’s Association of Darien is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization dedicated to good fellowship, education, recreation and community service. Its membership is open to men in the Darien area aged 55 or over, subject to numerical limitations set by the Association’s by-laws and by its Board of Directors. The Association was founded in 1977 as an affiliate of the Darien Y.M.C.A. In November 2002 the Association became affiliated with The Darien Community Association.

Meetings of the membership are held every Wednesday from September through mid June from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Garden Wing of Meadowlands. These meetings include hour-long programs the content of which extends to travel, current events, business, entertainment, medicine and other areas of interest. In addition, members participate in a number of scheduled activities, community service and special events, many continuing throughout the year.
