The Breast Advice: A Conversation & Book Signing with Dr. Elisa Port
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Darien Community Association and Breast Cancer Alliance, welcome Dr. Elisa Port for an engaging conversation and book signing celebrating the release of her new book, The Breast Advice: All You Need to Know About Breast Health, Screening, and Treatment. Join us on October 8th at 11am for this timely and informative free event and gain a better understanding of breast health, learn how to ask smarter questions, and feel more confident navigating screening and care.
Dr. Port, Chief of Breast Surgery at Mount Sinai Health System and a member of BCA’s Medical Advisory Council, will share insights from more than 25 years of caring for women and men with breast cancer and managing the many questions that arise around breast health, risk, screening and treatment.
Moderated by Lori Kron, President of Breast Cancer Alliance and a two-time breast cancer survivor, the conversation will address common misconceptions surrounding breast cancer, the evolving role of screening and imaging, and why self-advocacy matters.
Following the conversation, guests will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Port and have copies of her book signed. Barrett Bookstore will be at the event with copies of the book available for purchase.
**This event is free to attend but registration is required.**
