Looking for a fun way to meet new people and enjoy all that the area has to offer? Darien Social is a welcoming, friendship-focused group for those who enjoy staying active, meeting new people, and sharing fun experiences. We’ve replaced traditional monthly meetings with a lively calendar of weekly walks and Mahjong, monthly excursions, NYC outings, group luncheons, cultural events, and spontaneous adventures. New members are always welcome. Be part of the fun!

Pins & Purls

Pins & Purls is a group for handcrafters who love to knit, crochet, needlepoint and sew. Organized by Elizabeth Stewart, one half of the mother/daughter duo behind Hurley & Dunn, this group meets during the DCA's Winter Wellness series in January/February to work on their own projects or collaborate on a group project while enjoying coffee, conversation, and community. All skill levels welcome!

Duo Piano Group

The DCA Duo Piano Group began in 1948, when the DCA president formed the organization’s first Music Committee. Today, this group of accomplished amateur pianists play together for fun and to continue their musical education. Members practice weekly and perform concerts at the DCA and at various community centers and elder care facilities.

Rehearsals will resume in 2027. Please contact us if you are interested.



Page Turners Book Group

The Page Turners book group read and discuss their perspectives on thoughtfully selected books, and members take turns leading the discussions. The group meets on one Monday a month at 12:30pm at the DCA. For a list of selected books and meeting dates for the 2026-2027 season, please click here.

Greenhouse Group

The Greenhouse Group is for gardeners who are passionate about plants! They meet monthly, and host a plant sale fundraiser every May, fall and spring gardening workshops, and holiday classes in December.

Darien Men's Association

Founded in 1977, the Darien Men’s Association (DMA) is “dedicated to good fellowship, community service, and fun.” The DMA has been sponsored by the DCA since 2002 and holds their regular meetings at the DCA from early September to early June.
