We are excited to introduce “Building Resilience,” a three-part series designed to help families navigate important life transitions and milestones with greater understanding, connection, and confidence. Each session will offer insight into how young people develop their sense of identity at different stages and how parents can best support them along the way. Each evening will begin with a brief reception, creating an opportunity for parents to connect, share experiences, and build community—while reminding families that they are not alone in navigating these important moments.

Join us on October 20 for the first panel in the series, focused on high school students and the college application process. A panel of experienced college advisors and therapists will explore the increasingly complex admissions landscape and its impact on students and families. Advisors with decades of experience will share helpful updates and “insider” insights on recent changes in admissions, digital testing, the role of AI, and application strategy, while therapists will focus on student mental health and practical strategies for managing the stress, anxiety, and pressure that can accompany the college process. The goal is to help parents look beyond the admissions process itself and better support their students’ well-being and resilience throughout the journey. This event is free to attend, but please register so we know to expect you.

Panelists include Phyllis Weihs-Yavner, LPC; Dr. Steve Yavner, Founder of Spark Your College Story; Meaghan Hetherington; Judith Nedelle, College Advisor; Pamela Paulmann, Student Wellness Coordinator; and Julia Smith, LCSW. To view the Panelist bio's, please click  here.

**Look for upcoming installments focused on Middle School & Early Adolescence (February) and Recent Graduates & the Next Chapter (April).**
